This has a Gorgeous 4A Birdseye Maple Neck. It has great medium size eyes. I think that the Neck is almost the most important part of the Guitat. Each piece plays a pivotal role, but the Neck lays down the direction of the Guitar. I start with a Neck and design the rest of the Guitar around it. It has a set of what I believe is a set of 1980 Black Jackson Tuners made by Gotoh in Japan. Gotoh has been making the finest Tuners in the world since 1950 in Japan. I like putting new and older Gotoh tuners on a Guitar. If I see an older pair, I buy then as fast as I can. Finding a set of 40 year old Gotoh tuners us like finding a gold nugget in a stream in my eyes. I put a Emerson Wiring Kit in the Guitar that uses CTS Pots. The Pickups are a set of Vintage Porter Straticaster pickups. These are also as good as one can buy. Pickups are always a matter of taste, but you have to start with something really good and I only like to give a Guitar the very best chance I can by giving it a great set of Pickups, a fine Hard Birdseye Maple neck, last will last 100 + years, and a nice Resonant piece of Poplar wood for the Body. Poplar is a great Tone wood to use on a Strat. The Custom paint job has a very nice textured crackle texture that really stands out.
